Rename again?[]

Based on what we got for Boruto chapter 52, I believe Seelentau's rationale for wanting to rename this (check archive 2) got more weight behind it. I think a rename is appropriate. Thoughts? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 19:45, November 20, 2020 (UTC)

I don't really see the point honestly. Six Paths Sage Mode sounds a lot better than Sage of Six Paths Mode, and like the last user in Archive 2 said, it will only cause more confusion, on this site and elsewhere. This issue will become almost as bad as people calling Sasuke's Rinnegan a Sharinnegan, which isn't even a thing. I say just slap it on the page as an alternative name and call it a day rather than arguing over a name due to the order of kanji or it being mentioned a single time. Besides, it could be an oversight on the authors part, similar to inconsistencies within the databook and manga (The Sharingan not being able to tell clones from a real individual within the manga, yet Madara being able to see through Hashirama's Wood Clones, also from the manga.) I agree with Princeharris. Unless I'm missing something about the new chapter. Seel's reasons were clear to me, but as the g.o.a.t Suzaku concluded, we should leave it be because the whole Six Paths thing isnt really clear to begin with and thats the real problem. It's been 4 years since that discussion and we still don't know what the fuck a six paths is, practically speaking. I'm open to any new evidence as to why it should change, but it already sounds good the way it is and fans know it as that (if they know it at all).--GunmetalDragon (talk) 21:39, November 20, 2020 (UTC)

I agree. In brazilian Wiki Naruto, we do a equivalent correction based on bandai's official translations for portuguese: Modo do Sábio dos Seis Caminhos (english version: Sage of Six Paths Mode). Lukas Pessoa Dantas (talk) 03:31, 20 April 2022 (UTC)

Naruto awakened Six Paths Sage Mode/Six Paths Senjutsu on his own and did not recieve it from Hagoromo.[]

Six Paths Sage Mode and the power it provides, specifically Six Paths Senjutsu, is acquired by becoming the jinchuruki of the ten tails. That is how Obito, Madara, and Hagoromo himself acquired it. Another way to get the ten tails chakra is by possessing the chakra of all 9 tailed beasts, Naruto is blatantly shown to be receiving the chakra and becoming the meeting point of all 9 tailed beasts in the manga.

In fact, it is directly stated by Gyuki that Obito knew the chakra of which tailed beasts he lacked in order to awaken this power. This is straight from the manga. If Obito simply wanted to save Narutos life he only had to exctract the nine tails, but he got a piece of the 8 tails and 1 tails chakra as well. Madara even comments on this as well when Naruto kicks away his TSB. It doesn't matter if he doesn't have the actual ten tails. Because first of all, the tailed beasts are nothing more than masses of chakra. Whether you have a piece of it or the whole thing, it's the same quality, only the quantity is different. You can't say that Naruto's tiny bits and pieces of tailed beasts chakra don't count. The ten tails itself was summoned with the whole 1-7 tails, then a tentacle of the 8 tails, and two pseudo nine tails jinchuriki (Kinkaku and Ginkaku). If you go by the logic that you have to fully have all nine tailed beasts, then the ten tails couldn't have been summoned. Obito used this fact to his advantage. Even Madara didn't properly create the ten tails, since half the nine tails was still inside Minato. You can't deny it, Naruto is essentially the ten tails jinchuriki, and therefore unlocked Six Paths Sage Mode. What Naruto and Sasuke got from Hagoromo were the Six Paths Yin and Yang seals to perform Chibaku Tensei.

The reason people believe otherwise from what I've seen is because the 4th databook states, "The qualities for obtaining this technique are strict studying and using a small gist in chakra kneading sensibility. An iron faith to face any hardship and the guts to never give up. Furthermore, the returning incarnation and fate’s guidance ― this power is granted by the Sage of Six Paths only to someone who holds those. Those who activate the technique come to understand the flow of all life, gain a deep insight at the world’s origins and are able to apply it on interacting allies without changing the way of things. This technique isn’t something shinobi choose to experience. It is a technique that chooses shinobi." This is why no one should trust the databooks, especially over the manga. It just sounds like a bunch of ambiguous bullshit that completely contradicts the manga. You notice how only around 1 line explains what it is, being that Hagoromo gave Naruto this mode, and the other stuff is nonsense that doesn't even make sense out of context. And I don't even agree with that line. Naruto got the mode because of all the tailed beasts. It was absolutely made up by someone that wasn't under the supervision of Kishimoto.

If you still aren't convinced think about how Naruto routinely uses Six Paths Sage Mode in Boruto, after he lost Kurama we have never seen him again use Six Paths Sage Mode, that is the 2 slits in his eyes with no orange pigmentation.
