I am absolutely with Ten Tailed Fox on this one. Why not create another forum that is dedicated to discussions about the series, while forums like this is dedicated to the policies. The reason why I am such a prominent member on Naruto Answers is because free discussion, in general, is allowed there, while it is not here. I definitely think this wiki would be more popular if there was a General Discussion about the Naruto Series Forum was created. But hey, that's just my opinion. You can take it in regard or not, but there it is for you to ponder.
You should be proud of yourself, the only klb 215! Because of this post, you may be the cause for a huge, positive change for this wiki!
Before this breaks into a war (which to my knowledge it isn't) I'd like to point out to our dear Sysop Ten-Tailed Fox that I am not "barking" at anyone. I will say that as someone who was given the Sysop flag, how about you actually uphold the rules of the wiki rather than help break them? You say you don't see anything wrong with a little general discussion? The guidlines of the wiki says otherwise, why do you think we don't have the chat feature enabled here? Any way, I see Speysider has already taken the necessary steps to actually see what the rest of the community has to say about it. That's how were supposed to do things. The problem with Narutopedia is that too many times everyone here just rolls over and takes whatever — that needs to change.
Cerez, please go back and read the lecture Kakashi gave to Team 7 after their first training exercise. Think about those words for awhile before you respond. Trust me, the rules are absolutely important, and if there were no rules, chaos would overtake this wiki. But rules are not everything, and sometimes people need to communicate with one another in order to understand each other. And at this point, that is not entirely possible. And this is why I support Speysider's argument. Kishimoto, the creator of the series that this wiki is revolves, clearly communicates the fact that rules do not control the world, and the people must be able to voice their opinion. I don't think he would like to see this situation get out of hand.

Friend, I hate to burst your bubble but you don't live in the Narutoverse and you aren't exactly a shinobi in danger of dying because of them either. If we don't follow the rules, what is stopping me or anyone from uploading a bunch of fanon to articles? Or uploading fanart or pronography? Or licensing images? Or writing articles in Ugopotamian? Rules are rules are rules are rules, they're necessary for anything to function. As I said Speysider has already started the process of going through the right channels, let the decision come from there.
With all due respect Kirin, I think you take the series a little too much seriously, more than adequate. Fiction shouldn't mingle with reality. One thing is being a fan, being an editor is an other one entirely and the two should be kept separate to an extent.
Okay, I understand your points, and I'm just going to stop my argument here. I've said all I can, and I don't know how else to express my opinion. And Elveonora, trust me, I know the difference between reality and fiction, more than you can even know. I've lived a hard life, with many losses along the way, and now I am studying to be a lawyer at a very prestigious school. I am very proud of where I am today, and not once have I ever thought of that I could jump through trees at top speed, or make clones of myself. I'm sorry if I seem a little over-emotional, but that's just the kind of guy I am. Now Cerez, I apologize if I have upset you in any way, as it was not my intention. Though I know peace is a very naive concept to believe in, I do wish that one day people could understand each other on a wide scale, whether it be the world, or just this wiki. Though Naruto is not at all anything that is based in reality, it still has certain themes that can really have an impact on you, as they have me.
I never meant to imply you can't tell reality and fiction apart, just as Cerez said, that we shouldn't get too heated about our fandom here. And there's nothing wrong with that of course, but we should keep it a tad more professional (if that even makes sense). I guess we want to prevent instances like a certain editor over-analyzing everything with 20 topics a week about the most trivial of things.
Yeah, I get what you mean, Elveonora. I'm sorry if you thought I was angry at you, I know that you had no ill intentions. And yes, you do make sense. I just think it would be nice if we could all talk about what we love, kind of what is happening on Naruto Answers more frequently.
