  • Really, do I have to remind you about illegal links every time?

Burami reminds me of that guy who was really popular in high school but now just gets more and more gross/unsuccessful every time you see him.

But after the last episode, I *really* just didn't want to watch this one. I found myself skipping through it at multiple parts and I didn't really miss any vital information: Hinata gushing over Naruto from afar, Kiba being peanut butter and jealous and then consistently failing to back up his talk, everyone gets beat but then is re-inspired by Naruto and then wins.

...You know, now that I think about it there really is NO substance to Team Kurenai besides how much they think about Naruto. I'm starting to think Hinata had to fight Sasuke and Kiba for the right to marry him.

    • This episode and the last one reminded me how much I dislike Kiba since the time skip. He became more whiney, especially in regard to Naruto. At least in part one, his personality went from aggressive to more tame when it came to his teammates. It was displayed more in the fillers. But from the Itachi Pursuit Arc onward, he became more bitchy. A little more tame in the War Arc, but these two episodes brought it back.

    • At the moment, I can't watch it without creating a crunchyroll account....and that definitely won't happen.

Anyway, it seems there is nothing to look forward to, I watched the sample clip where Burami spits on his team members...don't even know if I want to watch the rest.

    • I didn't mind this episode as much as i hated the last one. it actually showed hinata kick some ass.

it just goes to show how she actually is the strongest of her team. especially that air palm

    • Yeah, Hinata managed to land one blow. It was enough (shows how pathetic this Grass team was, makes Team Kurenai looks even worse), but still just one.

Has Kiba never washed his clothes or he went to this exam right after training?

    • Still a bad episode, though not as bad as last episode.

For some reason, killing animals in fiction always bothers me so much ._.

I thought the same thing. Dang Kiba! Wash your clothes! Also, when did Kiba become the leader of the team? I thought it was Shino. I'm surprised we didn't get a scene where Hinata swooned over the mention of Naruto.

Kiba is way too obsessed with Naruto. I thought it was funny how Kiba found out that shadow clones distribute chakra evenly between the clones immediately after he did it while Naruto had to be told that.

Are they really making us believe that all these Konoha teams are STILL thinking of what Naruto is doing? Stop focusing on someone who isn't there! JEEZ!

    • This episode mannaged to be one thing: boring, the last one was horibly bad yet that was in a way still better than being bland and forgettable, this one only managed to show Burami being more disgusting and Kiba being stubborn. Kiba only wanting to surpass Naruto and so forth is not exactly something that makes me enjoy an episode. Though I guess it was somewhat Rousing to see him training the multible shadow clone technique.

Next week initially doesn't look too good, showing a number of different teams will hopefully be good for diversity, but it's not something that'll carry much of the plot I'm afraid.

    • I hate Kazami too. He's a dumb cheerleader for Burami! Muyami is an extremely depressed, goth Shredder. He's annoying. The whole Grass team are annoying.

The episode overall was a bit dumb. Burmami has Akamaru's Dynamic Markings jutsu but more gross.

Thanks, but I don't plan to support that website.

Anyway, this episode was extremely bad, too. Once they fought the Kusa-nin head on, what exactly was different to the last time they did it? One time, Team 8 just got beaten and the second time, they used their common fighting styles and won with flying flags? What is this?? I don't even want to talk about the rest, the chasing was just ridiculous. And how could Shino forget his own team's number? Does he rather want to be part of Team Asuma? I wouldn't be surprised...

Next time, we can see Team Komugi being defeated and Tenten feeling useless. Oh boy.

    • I think I liked this episode a little better than the previous one. I don't mind Kiba and Hinata day dreaming about Naruto (after all these episodes are still part of Naruto Shippuden). The greatest relief is that now they got their scrolls back we could get to see some Fu-Gaara Jinchuriki moments (I wish it better be good). I love to see Fu making friends with others. I like her a lot! and she is more like "girl version" of Naruto :-D

    • Well it's better than episode 402 for sure. I'm hoping 404 will be better because Ajisai and Konan is in the preview. We can know what's their relationship. I think Konan will be the one who will capture Fu, because everything is revolved around Konan.

    • I actually liked the Grass Team, I thought they had an interesting team dynamic and were relatively fun. I wish they'd expanded more on Kazami and Muyami's abilities, but over all I thought they were decent.

The real problem is Team 8. Shino uses way more bugs this episode than he did last, and if he could do that, why didn't he to deal with Muyami last time?

Kiba is way too focused on Naruto. I get that Naruto is the main character and that it's noted he draws people to him, but there was far too much focus on him from Kiba. I mean Hinata uses Naruto's determination as a mantra to not give up, so I wouldn't complain if it was her, but Kiba sees Naruto as a rival and wants to surpass him, so focusing so heavily on his influence here after 2 years is a bit much. They could have left it at the Shadow Clone thing instead of having him permeate everything Kiba did these last few episodes.

Hinata... Her presence over all was kinda lackluster. She's the heroine of Team 8 and certainly the heart of their crew, so while as a Kiba fan I appreciate any chance for him to actually prove himself, these last couple of episodes really lacked for Hinata goodness.

Not to mention, over all I felt that these filler episodes have fallen into Bleach territory.

To explain, fillers in Bleach had a poor habit that whenever a character fought in filler, the most they could do was show off the best ability they could use at the time in canon, often repeating at times fairly case specific maneuvers rather boringly and without the same impact as it had initially.

This is basically all Team 8 did here. Kiba used his Three-Headed Wolf, Shino used his giant destruction bugs and Hinata used Air Palm. No great strategy, no new special maneuver, just rince repeat. I can stress that this isn't normal for Naruto filler, Hinata's entire Protection of the Eight Trigrams is filler, Naruto's combination jutsu with toads is the same, and numerous others who, if nothing else, use their regular techniques in a new and interesting way when prompted by filler. Here, nope, just same old stuff.

    • I agree, you would think the anime team would go crazy with the manga over and now not having to worry about the manga telling them to put a lid on it. Plus we missed and opportunity to see the Whirlwind Wolf Fang the databooks having eluding to but never showcased.

Even the grass team suddenly forgets their techniques from previous episodes, reason = Plot. (pretty sure you knew that already, but oh well XD)

The episode wasn't that great (even Kiba's jealousy or whatever towards Naruto seems old, the new grass team ain't much ineresting... just nasty... pure nasty... because Burami is the most focused .__. )

For the "Desert Survival Challenge" I was expecting some monsters somewhere.. all they showed so far was a scorpion, and we just saw his shadow before he passed away XD I hope that the next episode is good, i hope it has something worth watching because its number is 404 (error 404 :P )

    • This episode was total crap. Nothing about the episode was good. The whole never give up thing because of Naruto is getting on my nerves. Its like until Naruto there was nothing to look forward to for them which wasn't the case but now the creators are making it that way and its kind of insulting to their characters. Naruto this, Naruto that like damn really. And then as expected Team Kurenai do stuff they already could've done back at their first encounter but didn't. The flashback was so unnecessary. This episode was terrible. The creators screwed over Team Kurenai. I never want to watch this episode again, in fact I wish I could forget it...sigh.

    • This episode, with all its crap, made me start to somewhat appreciate Kiba from the flashback until he got all "Cuz of me!" at the end like Shino and Hinata were just there when it happened. He barely even gave Akamaru any credit. What a prick. But yes, the swooning and blushing over Naruto should be left to Hinata. Blushing only implies so much. Simply can't be jealousy, can it?

    • The only parts I liked were Kiba's training flashbacks and his stubbornness toward admitting Naruto as his motivation toward the end.

Just to answer, from what I could tell, he's actually hooked up with that girl from Sora-ku, Tamaki, who owns the Ninja Cats. And people thought Chouji and Karui was a weird pairing.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the next episode with the rain girl. If I had to guess she uses some form of Sealing Jutsu? Going by the little formula squares she has.

i also doubt that he gave a f*ck about the childrens either :( ^_^

Kiba ending up with a future crazy cat lady is less surprising than Choji hooking up with Karui, opposites most often attract in fiction and this wouldn't be that new, but 2 people that have no interaction or common points at all? only thing that could hint of ChojixKarui is that both proclaim interest in finding a significant other, yet never does so.

I agree with you on Ajisai's abilities though, it seems reasonable to assume for now. But if she uses seals and the episode is going to focus on Tenten, then I bet it's all about preventing the generic sealing technique from working.

    • Ajisai will be interesting. Not only to see her abilities but her relevance on why Nagato chose her to be one of his Paths. All the other Paths are somehow related to Jiraya. Ajisai never interacted with him.
