Where's Shino when you need him?

Is it just me, or does Tenten get more filler screentime than any other character? I vaguely remember that whole Team Tenten thing from Part I.

Anyway, pretty standard filler here. Information we already knew on how damaged Amegakure was as a minor village, unnecessary development on Ajisai, who we already know becomes the personality-devoid Animal Path and more useless Tenten shtick.

And we start Choji Gaiden/Sakura vs. Ino II next week, apparently.

    • Im so bored at this point in the fillers. Im just waiting on the Gaara and Fuu action later on. Wanna see if Akatsuki interferes and wanna see how Gaara gonna beat the Suna Assassins when they use that Sealing Kettle on him. They should show his Red Jinchuriki cloak fr the first time against em. haha thatd be fun

    • It was meh.

I also didn't understand Tenten's "development" with her sealed ocean. She needed a reminder that she is capable of unsealing it after she sealed it in the past and was carrying it since then? Eh?

Edit: Also, don't you think that the part with the fish was kinda cruel? Not only was it encased in Tenten's scroll for quite a while, but then it was left to suffocate in the desert while nobody gave a damn... First the scorpion, then the mole, now ants and fish. This arc does not go easy on animals xD

    • Tenten sealed the ocean, now theres no ocean? Creepy... Overall this episode was meh, I just enjoy the new techniques to be honest, Tenten "development" is a joke, @Norleon said it all, carrying a ocean that she sealed and doesn't know if she can unseal? Filler stuff.

    • I do love how 3 hours have passed and the article page hasn't been created. (hint hint) :D

I haven't had the chance to watch the episode yet though. Shame, sounds like it's an interesting one.

Adding moguranmaru to your list of dead animals list :-p

I don't think Tenten has sealed away an ocean! probably few thousand gallons of water from ocean. I agree with others who mentioned about Tenten being unsure of unsealing whatever was sealed before, was not a great idea. Well all in all this episode ain't too bad or too good. Let us see what they'll do with Sakura's team next week (I guess there is gonna be awful lot of flash backs :-P~).

    • I actually sorta get it. Since the technique is based on using Chakra to seal, and then equivalent chakra to unseal the size/volume of what you've sealed, trying to unleash a few thousand gallons of ocean after she's been fighting up til now seems like a fair concern.

Alternatively, it's kinda weird that she had this concern whilst Ajisai was teling her to seal away the dirt.

Also, I kinda wished Ajisai caught an ant. I mean sure, she's gonna be Pain's lifeless puppet later, but I give more of a crap about her than the other barely developed bodies they did in earlier filler.

Over all, this episode wasn't as attrocious as the Kiba stuff, as at least Tenten wasn't inspired by Naruto, but it is fairly standard fair.

    • not the best not the worst, not at all memorable unfortunately, but good to see Tenten have some screentime I guess. Next week is going to be Sakura vs. Ino round who-cares-anymore. Best part of that episode will be the small focus the suna team is going to have, hopefully we'll se something new on that front.

    • Giving the pace at which the filler is moving I guess we might not get to the actual plot anytime sooner :-( Will they start at least by early 2016?

Now that Tenten and Ajisai are friends, will she recognize her when Pain used her body to invade Konoha? I know team Guy arrived after the attack but defeated Ajisai's body must be lying only few feet away from where team Guy attends Hinata.

That's what I meant with "mole".

    • I think she didn't literally seal an ocean as obviously that was only a pond amount of water.

    • I'll give this episode a meh

    • Not the best episode ever, but also not the worst. I guess the upside to it was that it gave the minor characters, like Tenten, some screen time.

Don't forget about the starfish that came from Tenten's scroll. Rest in peace Mr Starfish.

    • it was an overall ok filler. like someone already said i was thinking so you have no faith in your ability to seal and unseal when you freaking sealed an ocean. and another thing i must add when she unsealed the water you saw a huge lake appear and then 2 seconds later its already evaporated? im sorry but it doesn't work that way. that water would not just evaporate in 2 seconds that desert would have to be so hot it would kill anyone stepping in it. that water should have atleast been therefore a while

    • Didn't Neji use a new technique called 8 Trigrams: Open Palm to try to clear the rubble or was that subbed wrong for me?

    • ^That's what I saw Neji use in the translation too.

    • I guess that was simply a subbing error. I heard nothing that sounded different from the technique's usual pronunciation.

Firstly, this is an anime, so if somethings unrealistic, just go with it instead of trying to make sense of it. Secondly, the more chakra you put into a summoning the larger it will be. For example, when Naruto didn't put a lot of chakra when summoning a toad in Part I, he got Gamakichi. However, when he used a lot of his chakra, plus Kurama's as well, he was able to summon Gamabunta. Ten-Ten was worried she didn't have high enough chakra reserves in order to summon as much as they needed to get out. Thirdly, in filler's things that don't make sense, or clash with canon, tend to happen anyway. How can Rock Lee use 5 gates and not get injured, yet 2 years ago his body ripped itself apart? Or in the episode that featured Mecha Naruto, how was Pain was able to use the Deva Path to summon the King of Hell, which should only be able to be summoned by the Naraka Path, or when he uses Rinne Tensei no Jutsu? Shouldn't be possible, yet it happened.
