Except its the logical conclusion though. While its true that the sage gave them their powers, the sage himself said that they themselves awakened the sage's chakra. And how do you do that? Asura's and Indra's chakra, according to manga, and the tailed beast's chakra, according to SSTTCS databook article.
Logical conclusion my ass. The fact that you need the beasts for the Coffin Seal is in no way proof that you need them for the Sage Mode as well. They're two different things, one is a mode, the other one is a transformation. One makes you more SO6P like, the other one makes you the TT's jinchuriki. You can lose your mind because of the Coffin Seal, but not because of the Sage Mode thing. One is a Senjutsu, the other one is a Kekkei Genkai.
They're all but the same.
Your ass is fine mister, I don't see anything wrong with it .__.
@Archangel489 at least both SP bros were able to use Gudodamas in their fight with TT
Eh, that's questionable. The databook says that to acquire the power of the tailed beasts is the same as obtaining the power of the Sage of Six Paths, and results in the same Truthseeker Orbs (the caption also points to the Six Paths seal markings appearing on Madara's back).
There's also Madara's first bit of dialogue where he identifies Naruto as having awakened Six Paths Senjutsu and Sasuke as having awakened the Rinnegan, then declares that he has both of those powers. And, obviously, the key visual indicator that is singled out is the Six Paths seal pattern.
However, at the same time, Naruto is clearly not "transformed" when he heals Guy and kicks away Madara's Truthseeker Orb, though both of these are definitely applications of the enlightenment. Naruto says, "I feel like I can do all sorts of things now," which I think indicates that the heightened mental state isn't necessarily tied specifically into the Sage Mode transformation -- in the same way that a Sage has the knowledge of Senjutsu even when they're not actively in Sage Mode.
My thinking is that without the tailed beasts' chakra, maybe Naruto just doesn't have enough juice to fully enter Six Paths Sage Mode, as we saw it at the end of the manga. In The Last he uses Kurama Chakra Mode and Sage Mode together, and performs feats that are likely possible because of his enlightenment, like flight.
@FF-Suzaku I don't think that Naruto flew. There have been MANY instances where it appears that a character was flying

He and Hinata clearly flew at the end, when kissing ;) Now that what it means love gives wings :D But earlier - it is still debatable. It looked like he flew during fight with Toneri, but if he could do this, why he didn't flew on his own earlier (like when leaving palace with Hinata and others, right before Toneri used his Silver Wheel Explosion). He was in Kurama Chakra Mode then.
Yes, Naruto should have all the Tailed Beast chakra to enter that mode, because we know he didn't have all the tailed beast chakra before he underwent that mode, Gyuki was not in him as he was fighting alongside Naruto and Shukaku was trapped in statue so Naruto didn't meet him in subconscious realm as he met all the Jinchuriki along with other tailed beasts, it was only after Obito transferred them along with Yin Kurama did he meet Hagoromo and gained Six Paths Sage Mode. Obito knew what Naruto needed so he stole only those tailed beast chakra from Madara and transferred to Naruto. I think this part is not mentioned in databook.

Lol, I'm pretty sure that was in slow motion dramatizing the scene. But again, there were many times where it looks like a character is flying
