  • I haven't seen it and high chances are, I won't see it until late next year. So, might as well get my questions out of the way.

For those who saw it, did they reveal who Shinki and Yurui's parents are? And also, did Inojin get any time to shine?

Feel free to answer to your best knowledge if you've seen the Boruto movie, thanks ^-^

    • Didn't Inojin take down a Kusagakure shinobi in this movie? It was in the trailer.

5 sec. of the movie at most, I believe.

    • Nu-uh.... they didn't even really name them. It's kind of funny that Kishimoto goes all out even for background characters. Definitely shows his attention to detail

Sounds weird, considering it's the Chuunin Exams. I mean, isn't there some kind of announcement before each battle? Would've been hilarious if it would just go like "Next battle, Boruto vs........START"

    • They had announcements for the final rounds but Yurui and Shinki didn't make it to the end, and like 80% of the Chunin exams played out like a montage.

    • I think that the only logical answer is that Gaara is his father. He possesses the Magnet Release Kekkei Genkai, so if he is the son of a known character, he had to have inherited it from one of them. This narrows it down to only 8 characters. Of those eight, only three of them are from the hidden sand: Rasa (Gaara's father), Shukaku (One tail), and Gaara. Of these, Gaara is obviously the only logical answer. And on top of all of that, he controls SAND!!! And sand is definitely a Gaara thing.

I really have next to no doubt about it.

The fact that he battle and wins to metal Lee basically proves it. Boruto the movie got quite a few easter eggs or callbacks to Part I. Like, it has the Lions barrage combo with both Sasuke and Naruto (who both stole the movie from Rock Lee), Boruto's combo with Sasuke is a clear callback to the move against Zabuza, and a few more things i forgot.

So yea, the fact that Metal Lee loses against him pretty much proves it's Gaara's kid.

    • I just thought of something else. Look at Yurui. He has the hair of Killer B, and a bunch of eight tails markings. And the skin means the mother would have to be white. His facial expression is a lot like Samui's, and his father being Killer B could be a reason that he acts so full of himself. I'm a bit less sure about this one so please let me know your opinions.

I can't detect sarcasm over the internet very well, so I have to ask: Are you serious?

It was said that he admires Killer B

I am. The Boruto movie has quite a few references and callbacks, as i already pointed out.

    • Actually, Shinki may be a descendant of the Third Kazekage

    • It was never mentioned who Shinki and Yurui's parents are

no,no i think that Shinki isn't the son of kankuro and nor gaara neither Yurui is the son of B.because in the movie Killer B was been kill by momoshiki and i think that B hasn't married yet

    • ^Actually, B DID survive, as it was shown in the end credits. (^_^)

Now whetever he's Yurui's father... shrugs

    • It was said Yurui looks up to B, but nothing on being related probably wears the necklace outta respect. Shinki could just have the KG and be unrelated, or could be related to the 3rd. Puppetry is common, and maybe he emulates kankuros facepaint out of respect.

all seems like a stretch, but the guidebook clearly explains other newgens kids relations like Boruto, Sarada, Metal, etc. (except for Mitsuki since it was a reveal in movie) so i think it would have been mentioned there.

Honestly, im glad they aren't. I get that we needed a few kids of MCs but its nice to see some of the new chars not stand in the shadow of their parents and stand out on their own.

    • I think Yurui is probably going to be the next "B" -- Darui's "bro" and Killer B's successor as Jinchuriki. Darui will become the new A, and Yurui will become "Bubble B" or something. He does look like he could be related to Atsui and Samui, but I don't think his parentage matters very much.

Shinki was designed to resemble Gaara, so he could possibly be Kankuro's or Gaara's son, if he's related to them at all. He could also be a descendant of the Third Kazekage, which might be interesting as we don't even know the Third Kazekage's name.

I do hope that the Boruto series puts a little less emphasis on each character's particular ancestry. In general I hope the series is, at least for a while, more focused on shinobi life, shinobi missions, and the chunin exams, like a lot of Part I was.

I agree, I also hope they redo the Chunin Exams properly in the manga or just have a new one. I wish the one in the movie wasnt so short and mostly skipped and then interrupted.

    • Kishimoto likes repeating history. Naruto's Exams were interrupted. Boruto's Exams were interrupted.

    • I want to know who their parents are too I hope Shinki Gaara's kid. And that Kankuro has a kid too.
