Earlier, I put in a block request for a user, and it went unanswered. The user has flamed in the forums so often that it's ridiculous, but he hasn't been blocked. Why he still isn't blocked is beyond me.
The forums have been getting a little rowdy as of late. The mods are doing pretty well with keeping up with it, but we can't block the repeated offenders.
There should be at least one sysop who's more forum active now, since Forum Operators aren't a thing anymore. If someone needs to be blocked, a sysop has to do it.
Personally, I don't care what form this takes. A sysop gets more forum-active, or someone gets promoted. I know that sysops have tools that aren't needed to moderate forums, but we don't have Custom Groups anymore, so we need someone who will be more involved.
If one of the Discussion Mods were to be promoted, I nominate @Sarutobii2. If the community agrees to promote a Discussion Mod to sysop, I'll go more in depth as to why.
Anyways my main point is that Discussion Mods can't block people. I'd be fine going to a sysop for it, but it doesn't seem to be working.
