  • They became good after Kabuto raised them in the orphanage, years later the Boruto movie took place(In chronological order). They should of been trained and raised properly so they could seem very helpful when someone like Momoshiki attacks the village.

    • I'm assuming you're talking about the shin clones. First of all, couple of months have past since the shin incident, not years. And if you think about it, the Shin clones had no time to arrive to fight. Momoshiki and Kinshiki made a surprise attack and they immediately wrecked anything in their path and captured Naruto. Then Sasuke could only trasport a limited number of people, so there was no room for them. I'm just trying to give logical reasons here, but the fact is that probably Kishimoto didn't even think about bringing the Shin clones to battle in the first place. He can only do so much, he can't think and can't include every possible detail.

    • They're still in the orphanage probably, there's really no reason to shoehorn them into the movie especially since I doubt enough people who went to go see that movie actually read Naruto Gaiden either ways it's a risk not worth taking on the film director's part.

I disagree. Kishimoto introduced the Shin in the canonical timeframe months or weeks before the exams. As you mentioned, there was no time for greater reinforcements. Plus, Boruto only got to tag along because Sasuke decided to. I don't see why kids like the Shin would be allowed to go.

So no, there are proper and legitimate reasons they didn't go, as the writer intended.
