  • No gimmicks such as Zetsu clones, No Edo Tensei, just the two of them. Kabuto is in his strongest state, whilst Obito will be compared in his weakest state to his strongest (Kid Obito, Orange-Mask Obito, White-Mask Obito without Jinchuriki, White-Mask Obito with Jinchuriki, Juubito).

Kid Obito doesn't have access to the nine-tails power. IMO, I don't think it should be considered as part of his arsenal, as he gained it in the same battle that he lost it. Also, his control of it is not like Madara's control of it; he cannot summon it at will at any given time. It's like saying Pain has control of the nine tails, because he managed to hold it in Chibaku Tensei for like 10 minutes ->> Not the best example, but the point stands.

Three Arenas: Ryuchi Cave - Kabuto's Advantage

Destroyed Konoha - Level playing field

Uchiha Hideout - Slight Advantage to Obito (Couldn't think of anything better).

    • Any opponent of Obito without the teleportation has the same disadvantage. How to hit him?? Obito is just as knowledged, if not even more than Itachi in Uchiha Kinjutsu like Izanagi and Izanami. I don't see Kabuto having any chance against any other versions of Obito except the Kid one.

      • Kabuto solos with audio genjutsu.
      • To deal with the kamui dimension Kabuto can probably use a reverse summoning tech to escape.
      • Damaging Kabuto is useless, so is trying to sneak up to him with sage mode activated, he can quickly escape or liquefy himself.

      Kabuto has the edge.

    • Audio genjutsu might be useful but both Sasuke and Itachi were both able to keep their Susanoo active while being trapped in it. Nothing suggests that Obito couldn't do the same and make himself intangible.

How would reverse summoning help?? It still wouldn't solve Kabuto's main problem. He can't hit Obito with anything.

Sneaking up on him is different from dimension hopping which is what obito does. Kabuto can't sense him when Obito is intangible. Bijuu mode Naruto couldn't sense Obito teleporting right in front of his face.

Kabuto still has no answer to Izanami.

All this is for orange mask obito. Rinnegan Obito with 6 Jinchuriki is just ridiculously powerful. Kabuto has no chance against 6 Bijuu at the same time unless he uses Edo Tensei. I don't think Juubito needs any explaining.

Susanoo disappears after they were caught in it. Even if he can use his ability to remain intangible, the time limit will lead to his downfall.

It would allow him to escape the dimension duh. Can Obito hit him with anything? nope. And yes kabuto can, and that's audio genjutsu.

Source for Naruto failing to sense obito. Fuu did it, Minato did it.

      True.

OP said no edo tensei, so no jinchuriki. Rinnegan Obito is just the same old Obito who just spams kamui all the time, nothing different here.

      Emm, OP also said...

    • @Jason, True Susanoo dissipated when the audio Genjutsu went off, but Itachi got his back up and running in time.

There's no indication that one can escape Kamui through reverse summon; there's no precedence for it, and hasn't Obito kept prisoners there before?

Obito was pressuring Naruto, who has powerful sensing abilities and speed far greater than any other in the series before the TTJs showed up. And he did this while also fighting Bee, Guy, and Kakashi. Even with Sage Mode, Kabuto isn't just going to easily fend him off with sensing.

I don't think Obito knows Izanami, does he? He has Izanagi if he's orange mask, but I don't remember him using or mentioning he could use Izanami.

Keep in mind that besides the Edos, the Rinnegan amps you with a lot of power. Obito noted that it was so much power he could only handle one eye, and it almost overwhelmed him.

    • White Mask Obito would never use Izanagi unless it's a literal last resort, because his last Sharingan eye is his own and it has Kamui. Also no Edo's so that means Obito does not have the Jinchuriki. Obito also does not have a way out of the Sound Genjutsu, he is on his own. Kabuto does not have a way out of Kamui's Dimension. Obito's intangibility should keep him from being affected by White Rage since he is not physically there when using it. So it comes down to who lands their end game move first, will the Senjutsu Enhanced Sound Genjutsu land first? or will Kabuto be sent to Kamui Dimension first??

    • @Flatzone one of the versions listed is Obito with the Jinchuriki

    • Sasuke summoning his hawk in Kaguya's dimension proved that summoning works when the summoner is in another dimension, why is reverse summoning impossible lol? Kabuto can perform the same.

        Loading editor
    • @Jason, Kamui is dimension is not Kaguya's dimension. There have been no precedents to exiting Kamui via anything but Kamui. In fact, if reverse-summoning was possible, then Kakashi would have used that to exit the dimension insted of Kamui, since Kamui taxes the hell out of him compared to summons.

In fact, Sasuke summoning a hawk might've either been because Sasuke has a lot of chakra and was amped by Hagoromo, or Kishi just forgot that it'd be ridiculously strenuous. Because Hagoromo needed all of the past Kage to bring them out of Kaguya's dimension.

    • It's still a dimension, Obito needing tons to chakra just to teleport into kaguya's dimension proved how superior Kaguya's dimension is. Kakashi using reverse summoning to escape the dimension would take him to Pakkun-Land, which would put him out of the war.

    • Then Kabuto reverse summoning would put him out of the battlefield, and he'd therefore lose the fight.

    • Hagoromo only needed the past Kage's chakra for the summoning because he himself was nearly empty on chakra, he let naruto and sasuke borrow almost half of his chakra each.

That's fair. Another factor being he needed to summon the Tailed Beasts back too

Using that logic, everytime Obito goes into his dimension he should also lose the fight.

    • @Jason no, because he has the way back. It's part of his fighting style to send bits of himself to Kamui but it comes back immediately. Even when he absorbs himself all the way into Kamui, during fights he comes back immediately.

If Kabuto reversed Summon, he'd have no way back.

    • Mm. To be honest though at the start of the thread when I read it I thought the same thing you did. The auditory Genjutsu.

I doubt Obito is immune when he's intangible. I think he can still hear when he's intangible, which means his ear drums are still affected by sound.

The only question is if he can reactivate Kamui in time to save himself. Itachi could reactivate Susanoo, but he was also an Edo and idk if that factors.

In cases without the audio Genjutsu, Obito wins handily in my opinion, for all except Kid Obito. With Audio, however, I think only the White Mask variants have a chance, maybe Orange if he uses Izanagi.

Juubito would just win. I think he's fast enough to blitz Kabuto and strong enough to tank any SM attack he threw

Don't he have to like break the genjutsu first..nothing hints he can. Also again, Itachi and Sasuke got up their susanoo's after they broke the genjutsu.

Side note, i don't get audio genjutsu, in both cases when tayuya's genjutsu was used the victims were still able to use jutsu's, Itachi and Sasuke used genjutsu and shikamaru managed to use his shadow possession. Maybe Obito can still use Kamui.
