The Tsuchigumo clan is clan who made a pact with Hiruzen Sarutobi during the Third Great Shinobi World War. The clan's leader, En no Gyoja developed a jutsu that can wipe out an entire village. By terms of the pact with the Third Hokage, En no Gyoja declared the jutsu to be forbidden, in exchange for protection provided by Konoha in times of need.
