Wiki-wordmark

Hello PotatoUchiha48, greetings and welcome to the Narutopedia! Thanks for your edit to the User talk:$A$UKE page.

We do hope that you will stay for a long time. Enjoy your stay as we work to become the best Naruto info site out there. BELIEVE IT!

If you're looking for something to do why not look over the Forums or more specifically Narutopedia Collaboration for a list of projects we're working on. And the Community portal has a lot of recent discussions and places to go listed on it.

Here are several other pages that can help you with where to begin-
Wiki Activity – A great first stop, because you can see what pages other people have been editing, and where you can help out.
Help Pages - If you're new to editing or having trouble getting something to work, the help pages are a great place to start.
Forums - The forums are used for a number of things, from proposing policy changes to general wiki discussions. Please use Naruto Answers for asking general questions.
Administrators - A list of Narutopedia's administrators. If you need additional assistance or are having troubles, feel free to contact an administrator with the details.
Special:Upload - A page that provides you a form for uploading images easily.

Always sign in before you edit – This is so that we can recognize you!

Always sign your posts - When leaving a message on someone's talk page, remember to sign it by clicking either the 'signature' button or by typing four tildes (~~~~). This is so the person knows who to reply to.

There's a lot to do around here, so we hope you'll stay with us and make many more contributions. And again, welcome to Narutopedia. Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- Sarutobii2 (talk) 22:42, January 15, 2017 (UTC)

RE: Discord

Consensus would need to be reached 1st in the forum before implementing a discord. --Sarutobii2 (talk) 16:44, January 27, 2017 (UTC)

We don't really need a Discord Server for this wiki, especially as the topic of Naruto is already covered by a Discord Server for the subreddit of the same name. This wiki isn't really for socialising and you wouldn't find many people using it.
If you think we should have one, then you should ask the community first before you make such a server, but I doubt you'll get much support for such a thing here. --Sajuuk 17:04, January 27, 2017 (UTC)
To me, it appears to be more of an advertisment, tbh... besides, as Sajuuk said, this is not for socialising. Even the Naruto Jokes thread is too much, imo... • Seelentau 愛 18:54, January 27, 2017 (UTC)
Seelentau, presumably you know what Discord is, but if not, it's a voice/text chat application that's been around for a couple of years and quite a lot of wiki's are dropping the wikia chat and replacing them with Discord servers instead. It has functionality for a widget to be placed on websites and on wikia, a script exists to embed that widget in the side rail bar.
The user of this talkpage, if he thinks we should have one, should ask the community for a consensus before we create such a server, but personally, we shouldn't have one because /r/Naruto already has one and there'd be little point competing with them for another server.
If, somehow, a consensus passed for a server, then the server should be created and maintained by the admins of the wiki, not other members (unless the admins decided not to use it in any way). --Sajuuk 19:01, January 27, 2017 (UTC)
Yup, I know what that is but seeing how the chat is rarely used, I somehow doubt that it would change with a Discord server. And I definitely won't be around to manage it, I don't have the time for that. So personally, I can't see it happen. • Seelentau 愛 19:05, January 27, 2017 (UTC)
It might do, because the benefit of discord is that a user wouldn't need to register here to chat with wiki members, but as I said, no real point as there's a much more popular Naruto discord server around (though it would probably be a bad idea to direct people there xD). --Sajuuk 19:09, January 27, 2017 (UTC)
