When you get a chance, could you translate a quote for me? Its Konan talking to Obito, but I can't remember if its one whole quote or two: but they're in the same chapter. Naruto chapter 509, where Konan calls Naruto the "light" and Obito "darkness". Could you get me the literal English as well as the romaji of both quotes? Take your time, its a personal request for something I'm working on, so no rush. Thanks :) ~ Ten Tailed Fox Yamagakure Symbol 04:14, February 18, 2014 (UTC)

Due to personal problems I won't be that active in the upcoming weeks. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

I'm not blind

I'm well aware that real life occupies you otherwise at the present (when doesn't it tho? xD perhaps when we are asleep) but once you find some time and interest (be it a week from now or two, I'm not hurrying you nor am I in a hurry) then I would like to know your opinion on how the special Jugo Clan bodies actually work. The bodily fluids are responsible for Senninka, but is it the fluids/enzyme themselves what actually make the bodies absorb natural energy? Because originally, I had them separated but Omni merged the two. I assume it's a separate thing from the fluids within the special bodies what absorbs natural energy.--Elveonora (talk) 19:24, March 15, 2014 (UTC)

"since the PC is my top priority" you should be ashamed... like seriously. Well, who am i kidding myself? ;D But quite often I would best just smash my laptop and throw it outta window. The constant latency issues and disconnects are just unbearable. Like this man doesn't get angered easily, but enough is enough. And wow, good luck with relocation. For special bodies, yeah, I wanted to know tho if you think the fluids which allow transformation do also absorb natural energy or not. Because if the latter, we might have two kekkei genkai going on. Do you see them as separate or one thing?--Elveonora (talk) 23:22, March 15, 2014 (UTC)

A little help my man. You might have noticed my topic at Kabuto's talkpage. The dialogue and context clearly state twice in the chapter/episode that Kabuto's form is a result of Senninka. This is further evidenced by Kabuto's appearance now while healing Sasuke, as he is in Sage Mode/Senninka, he regained not just the horns but everything. Currently it's assumed Kabuto's snake appearance by the time of the war is a result of Orochimaru's cells, which is contradicted. How to make sense of it?--Elveonora (talk) 14:30, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

Not sure what you mean by that. Do you disagree with me or the article as is? Also not sure what you are referring to with that. If to this, then I don't disagree more or less with that explanation of yours. I'm not arguing semantics anymore. What I'm talking about is that according to that chapter, Kabuto's snake form is due to Senninka/Sage Mode rather than Orochimaru's cells as the article currently claims.--Elveonora (talk) 22:09, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

Only under the (in my opinion quite clearly false) impression that this form is a later stage of this ignoring the fact that his arm and face do not even look the same between the two, not to mention what he said. He stated that if it were to take over completely, he would die and he is obviously alive. As you could see in the chapter, when Suigetsu asked what's with Kabuto and Jugo's bodies, he started talking about Senninka. Later in the same chapter Orochimaru undoing Senninka removed Kabuto's snake features. Are we finally on the same page? ^_--Elveonora (talk) 22:22, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

Well, I'm not Kishimoto, just pointing out what was stated and shown in the chapter. But Oro-takeover obviously didn't happen, that's as clear as day, because he would have died had it happened and wouldn't be Kabuto but Orochimaru 2. Just because he appeared during the war with a similar form, it was simply assumed by the fanbase that it did happen and he ended up like that as a result. And that's the thing, he isn't always looking like that. After Orochimaru undid Senninka, Kabuto turned normal. He is now healing Sasuke in Senninka/Sage Mode hence he has snake features again ^_ In short, Kabuto using Senjutsu = snake features, Kabuto not using Senjutsu = no snake features--Elveonora (talk) 22:52, March 18, 2014 (UTC)

Today's episode

It's more than awesome, I really loved every scene of it... But I'm just wondering about Tenzō's jūin is still active during all that time. I don't recall that Yamato in the recent days talks so much about the Root, so this episode could cover that part I think, couldn't it? —Shakhmoot Nadeshiko Village Symbol (Talk) 12:17, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

Yeah, me as well. It's getting better and better... —Shakhmoot Nadeshiko Village Symbol (Talk) 12:24, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

That definitely wasn't Shisui's Sharingan I suppose. Then why was it loosing sight? Also not sure how to feel about this episode. Yamato is/was quite feminine I would say, like come on... what happened to the whole "Roots have no emotions" ??? He definitely sucked as one. I still don't consider it canon, it requires a leap of faith and I'm an atheist. I mean, I could definitely see Yamato having been a Root as canon in Kishi's head, I just don't like the stuff surrounding it made by Pierrot like his interactions with Kakashi, smoke people, experiment reject substory that makes it even more confusing (so is he Tenzo? ._.) and so on --Elveonora (talk) 12:29, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

He isn't Tenzō and he has emotions because he wasn't adopted as a baby, but as a child and learned to have emotions while sitting in Orochimaru's tank. The stuff surrounding Yamato's background isn't that relevant, hm? I mean, who cares if he at some point met some smoke people, that ain't gonna change anything about his timeline. And since the whole stuff fits, I'll incorporate it. ^_^ Seelentau 愛 12:34, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

I believe that Kishi has made So6p's brother to explain Ginkaku and Kinkaku. They were suspected to be of direct descent from So6p, but for that, they would either have to be Senju, Uzumaki or Uchiha, none of which they appeared to be. Meaning the brother was made to serve as ancestry for the two.--Elveonora (talk) 11:49, March 27, 2014 (UTC)

Sasuke's Tsukuyomi

Oh no, so you too? ... T_T why "nah" ?--Elveonora (talk) 12:16, April 1, 2014 (UTC)

  • Plenty of things have been deducted through context.
  • Plenty of things weren't spoken, only shown. According to this logic, we should dismiss a character's usage of a technique if he/she doesn't spell out its name before casting it. So a Rasengan used without Naruto yelling "Rasengan!!!" first doesn't count as one, I get it? We are safe when it comes to him tho, he is dumb enough to do it each time.
  • So suddenly a passage from a databook is old, yet it isn't old when it comes to the whole Kakashi-Obito timeline, gud.
  • Not sure if I get this.
  • Good question, but since Sasuke managed to break Itachi out of it with just Genjutsu: Sharingan (meaning it was possible and enough), that means Itachi wasted a Tsukuyomi for nothing. We can try to assume an unspoken context to it, like it having been Kishi's way of telling us that Sasuke doesn't have Tsukuyomi, but it would be an assumption.
  • Gyuki broke him out of it?--Elveonora (talk) 15:42, April 1, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Mythology

The Asura are originally from Hinduism, as are several other elements of Buddhist cosmology (Buddhism originated in India). The concept of Chakra also comes from Hinduism. The various Japanese spellings all essentially refer to the same thing: アスラ (Asura) is a direct transliteration of the actual Sanskrit word, while 阿修羅 (Ashura, Asura) and 修羅 (Shura) are derived from Chinese translations of the Sanskrit, which would have migrated from China to Japan through Buddhism. The same is true for Indra, インドラ (Indora) is a transliteration of the Sanskrit while 因陀羅 (Indora, Indara) is a translation of the Chinese (Indra is known as Śakra in Buddhism). In both cases, Kishimoto probably took the most common readings (Ashura and Indora).

As for why he used "Asura and Indra," which aren't particularily dichotomous (Asura referring to a mythological species while Indra refers to a specific deity), as opposed to say "Asura and Deva" or "Agni and Indra", it's hard to say. Part of it is probably that the Asura and Deva have distinct personalities (Asura = passionate / Deva = emotionless), while Indra has certain imagery that can be connected to Sasuke and Susano'o (wielding a lightning bolt, a god of storms and war). The two names also have three syllables and end with ra, making them sound related. At least, that's my assumption. FF-Suzaku (talk) 09:06, April 2, 2014 (UTC)

Borrowing topic. Not sure if it's of any worth, but the Hyuga name has to do with Sun, while Kaguya the first known Byakugan user was related to the Moon. Something to make of it?--Elveonora (talk) 13:19, April 2, 2014 (UTC)

Unless what I'm reading is, it says that Asura and Indra's mother is Kaguya Ootsutsuki. Which would mean, that their grandmother is also their mother. I just...I just really need to be sure if that is correct.--TheUltimate3 Allied Shinobi Forces Symbol (talk) 14:11, April 2, 2014 (UTC)

If the author says so, it's canon, as weird as it may be. We should document it and once and IF it changes in a re-release, it shall be updated--Elveonora (talk) 17:09, April 4, 2014 (UTC)

infinite tsukuyomi portrayal

What I in fact was referring to how in the movie, Naruto and Sakura literary got transported over to another dimension, rather than just being asleep, that's contradictory.--Elveonora (talk) 12:44, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

Do you recall the movie at all? If not then I suggest you to rewatch it.--Elveonora (talk) 13:11, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

The movie version trapped Naruto and Sakura there physically to another dimension, also made it possible for AU Sakura to enter real world. While the manga adaptation simply puts people's minds into said space.--Elveonora (talk) 14:25, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

Kishimoto wrote the movie. Yet the technique presented in it differs from what's been stated and shown in manga. That I suppose makes the former non-canon?--Elveonora (talk) 14:31, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

Not the events in the movie themselves, but things like techniques and so on, since it was made by Kishi.--Elveonora (talk) 22:32, April 3, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry for eavesdropping, but I don't think there's any indication that Naruto and Sakura got physically transported. It was all an illusion -- they likely remained stationary while the events occured (in fact, I believe only a short while actually passes while they're trapped in it). The Sakura that was displaced from the Genjutsu World was likewise an illusion; she ultimately faded from existence (and given that the episode was created to promote the movie, is probably even less canon than the movie itself). Besides, the technique Obito used in the film was the Limited Tsukuyomi, not the Infinite Tsukuyomi. FF-Suzaku (talk) 09:39, April 4, 2014 (UTC)

Then I suggest you to rewatch it again. After Naruto and Sakura left the alternate world, Naruto still had the Yondaime cloak on which just disappeared into nothing like 5 seconds later and both of them noticed it. There's plenty of evidence they were actually there. They weren't just seeing things, since when do two people experience the same hallucination at once? Also if the world weren't real, then the whole plot of the movie would have been pointless. And Limited Tsukuyomi was stated to be a trial version of Infinite Tsukuyomi, same technique, just incomplete.--Elveonora (talk) 10:38, April 4, 2014 (UTC)

Sand Siblings ougi

In the latest UNSR trailer, you can hear the name of their combo ultimate. From the sound alone, I think it's 灼熱砂縛柩/"Shakunetsu Sabaku Kyū". Is it incorrect for me to translate the shakunetsu part as "scorching hot" instead of "scorching heat"? In this case, in English at least, it seems more appropriate. I know tangorin also translates it as "red hot", which sort of gives leeway to translate 熱 as hot, but that is already the more literal translation of 赤熱/sekinetsu. Even tho I'm sure your translation is correct and it's meant to be Night Guy, contextually, night and moth together do make more sense, since moths are nocturnal I believe? Also moths are perceived as symbols of death and the technique requires Gate of Death.--Elveonora (talk) 10:31, April 9, 2014 (UTC)

Senju clan of the forest

Is there a passage anywhere in those chapters where Obito told Sasuke the story about Konoha's founding, or in the third databook, perhaps in a character entry, that specifically says that the reason the Senju were called "of the forest" was due to Hashirama's Wood Release? I do recall some databook entry saying that their name being "Senju" was due to them having great skill in all areas of jutsu instead of focusing on just one. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 16:04, April 9, 2014 (UTC)

About Wood Release/of the forest or Senju/due to mastery in many skill areas? Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:05, April 9, 2014 (UTC)
Which one is the first you heard now? The "of the forest" being attributed to Hashirama's Wood Release, or the name Senju being a reference of skills in all areas of jutsu? I'm more certain of the Senju one, which appeared either in the third databook or in a later artbook. I recall reading that in a scanlation. The "of the forest" is the one I need a bit more info on. While the discussion about Kagutsuchi kind of overwhelmed the point of the topic, it seemed that we were generally in agreement about how the black flames should be defined. No. That literally translated to "Sage Art: Lava Release Rasenshuriken". Why would he have a kekkei tōta? Also @Seel, I think he's referring to the fact that this chapter will pretty much confirm Naruto as a pseudo-jinchūriki of eight of the nine tailed beasts as well as Naruto demonstrating a kekkei genkai. ~ Ten Tailed Fox Yamagakure Symbol 16:22, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
I don't think there's Fūton involved here. It's the same as a Wind Release Rasenshuriken, just with Lava Release. By the way, he's using the fire-radical kanji here. Seelentau 愛 16:26, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
Then what about the shuriken-like protusions? Anyway, you're right, Naruto only talks about Lava Release here.--JOA20 (talk) 16:28, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
What about them? They're made of lava, too. I also think that it's justified to write down the information given by these spoilers, since technically, even if we'd only add them after the whole chapter is available, it would still be earlier than the official release of the chapter. Furthermore, these information come from an official source, so it's legit to add them in my opinion. Seelentau 愛 16:35, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

I don't really think the pseudo is the issue here, on the contrary, I think that this chapter really cements that quite unambiguously. I still disagree with Son's Lava Release being considered kkg, and by extension Roshi and now Naruto's though. Kkg stems from genetics, which I still don't think it's the case for Son. I know we already have Shinju with Sharingan, which makes it even worse for me, because in one case, it feels right to me, and the other it feels wrong. I still hope that if another databook is published, Son's Lava Release techniques are not considered kkg. Regarding the new Rasenshuriken, I think it does contain Wind Release. The blades cut through the stone, that feels like wind chakra to me. I'd list the technique as Wind Release and Lava Release. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 16:39, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

Ah, yes. Naruto asked Son for Chakra, not for a KKG. I don't think his LR is KKG, too. So to sum this up, Naruto has no LR KKG, no FR/ER natures and his new Rasen Shuriken is LR and we write in the trivia that it's unclear if he's still using WR, too. Seelentau 愛 16:44, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
If we're going to officially add this content, I suggest we create the page first, then take the discussion of the technique's elements there.--NaviiGator (A.K.A.KotoSenju)Talk Page-My Contributions 16:45, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

Not sure if sarcasm or change of mind Seel. You're the one who made the topic proposing that we list Son's LR as kkg for it, that also got Roshi listed as having LR as a kkg. As far as I'm concerned, no Son-based LR would be listed as kkg, they'd stay as tailed beast skill only. They'd still have to have ER and FR added though. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:06, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
I did? Oh well, change of mind, I guess, since the German wiki (=me) doesn't list them as KKG, either. But I wouldn't add ER/FR to Roshi's and Naruto's article, since they (or at least Naruto) got pre-mixed lava chakra, he didn't need to apply Seishitsuhenka. Seelentau 愛 17:09, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

How else would they have LR? Advanced natures don't exist on their own. Should Danzō have ER and WR removed because he gets Wood Release from the arm already? Besides, we've Son breathing just fire. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:17, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

If we decide to add the technique, I'm going to update Naruto's page to reflect his status as a pseudo. We were iffy before, but this puts it beyond a shadow of a doubt. ~ Ten Tailed Fox Yamagakure Symbol 17:18, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
No, they don't. But as I said, Naruto asks Son for some chakra, not the ability to create fire and earth chakra. Son kneaded his chakra and gave it the lava nature, then Naruto used it in his technique. Seelentau 愛 17:22, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
In Conclusion.
1) Naruto is a Pesudo-Jinchuriki of the One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Six, Seven, and Eight-Tails, and the jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails.
2) Son Goku's Lava Release is not a kekkei genkai for it's jinchuriki (No real opinion on this one)
3) Lava Release: Rasenshuriken is a thing.
4) Madara is boned.
Sound good?--TheUltimate3 Allied Shinobi Forces Symbol (talk) 17:20, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
Sounds fantastic. ~ Ten Tailed Fox Yamagakure Symbol 17:21, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

Are we really sure Naruto is a pseudo-jinchuriki though? Minato and Kushina appeared in his mind when he had their chakra, the tailed beasts are just doing the same thing now, aren't they? He didn't acquire the chakra through special means like the Kin-Gin Brothers, just through a regular chakra transfer, and there's nothing saying his tailed beast chakra can't run out (as in, his body isn't known to be producing more of it). If he's a pseudo-jinchuriki, then wouldn't the entire alliance all be Kurama's pseudo-jinchuriki?--BeyondRed (talk) 17:41, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

There's a difference in having a beast's chakra and having its consciousness. Seelentau 愛 17:43, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
Yeah, he's talking to them and they're responding by giving him their chakra. That's way different than just having their chakra inside of him. Even Kinkaku and Ginkaku couldn't do that. ~ Ten Tailed Fox Yamagakure Symbol 17:44, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
My point was that Minato and Kushina also appeared in his mind and that Kushina also used her techniques within it. This is really no different, but he isn't considered a pseudo-jinchuriki of his parents (whatever that would even mean). He does technically fit the requirements for pseudo though. Sora in the anime seems to have had a finite amount of Nine-Tails chakra, and we weren't explicitly told Kinkaku and Ginkaku's bodies were capable of producing more Nine-Tails chakra without eating more chakra meat (as likely as it seems).--BeyondRed (talk) 17:48, April 12, 2014 (UTC)
Of course he's not a Jinchuriki of his parents. Was the term "pesudo-jinchuriki" ever defined by the manga or is it a term you guys came up with? Seelentau 愛 17:51, April 12, 2014 (UTC)

ignored topics

For some reason, people are too busy arguing about forum and chat rules and if Lava Release Shuriken is Lava Release or not (0_o) instead of contributing to the important topics... I know your stance at this point is: "I don't care what you guys do" but are you really okay with Naruto being listed as a jinchuuriki of all 9 Tailed Beasts and so on, not to mention the logic of this wiki is beyond me. Speculation makes its way into the articles super fast (just check Naruto's abilities section) and actual stuff that's obvious doesn't get listed until we are told twice, because autism (like Hagoromo being Senjutsu user)--Elveonora (talk) 13:16, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

It's good, I'd like you state your opinion on the whole which natures Naruto has topic. And are you sure that Naruto is host of all Biju? Because we were never shown them entering his body, in fact we were multiple times told that he only has their chakra. Naruto originally pulled out (before Madara resealed them) the 2-7 Tailed Beasts from Obito using their chakra. What you suggest is that the Tailed Beasts pulled themselves out, existing twice or something.--Elveonora (talk) 13:40, April 19, 2014 (UTC)

Re: Storm Revelution techniques

Thanks. I'd really like to know what happens in the heads of CC2 developers who make these games (or at least the ones who translate them). I've seen the Kakekaze's jutsu being called the same as it was in Storm 3, demos or screenshots if I'm not mistaken, but the Japanese name of his jutsu looks nothing like it, and the jutsu looks different. Unless they've changed his normal jutsu from demos or promos in events, that doesn't make any sense. Omnibender - Talk - Contributions 17:11, April 22, 2014 (UTC)

Infinite Tsukuyomi

I am sort of perplexed to why you put Obito's use of the jutsu as "movie only". He was seconds away from casting it.--JOA20 (talk) 20:41, April 24, 2014 (UTC)

...That still makes him a user though. Obito was mere seconds away from casting it. He is a user. That'd be like Naruto announcing the use of a Rasengan and us not listing it because he got interrupted. It doesn't make any logical sense. ~ Ten Tailed Fox Yamagakure Symbol 21:23, April 24, 2014 (UTC)
Um, yes. Because the definition of "user" is not "we saw [him] use it". Its "we know he can use it". Seriously? He was about two seconds away from casting it. That means he can use it, thus making him a user. Your logic doesn't make any sense. If I pick up a bat and am about to swing it, but don't because I get distracted (Obito had a hell of distraction, but still), by your logic that means that I cannot swing the bat. Its ludicrous. He can use the technique, so he gets listed. ~ Ten Tailed Fox Yamagakure Symbol 00:44, April 26, 2014 (UTC)
Not to mention, Madara noted on two separate occasions that Obito was moments away from casting Infinite Tsukuyomi. Once when he first summoned the Shinju and the second when he was explaining the Shinju to Hashirama. As a user of the technique, I'd think he'd know when someone is about to launch a technique he himself waited all these years to cast. ~ Ten Tailed Fox Yamagakure Symbol 00:49, April 26, 2014 (UTC)
Again, you're misdefining "user". Like in my example, but because I stopped short of swinging the bat, doesn't mean I don't have the capability to do so. Danzō, for example, has never been seen using Shisui's Mangekyō Sharingan, but we know he can, because he can cast Kotoamatsukami. Same principle here. Obito stated he could preform it. Madara said he was about to. He's a user. User has nothing to do with what we see, but what we know. And if a user comes asking, we tell them, kindly, exactly what I just said. He's stated to be a user. ~ Ten Tailed Fox Yamagakure Symbol 01:01, April 26, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry for butting in, but Foxie is correct. "We know they can use" users get listed too.--Elveonora (talk) 11:54, April 26, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry for butting in [2]... I can understand why list Obito as a user of Infinite Tsukyomi, but I think "we know they can use" too generic. Should we then list all Tailed Beasts Skills for Naruto? (We know he can use, no?) But what I think: in Obito' case, he could use, and he almost used. Naruto didn't "almost used" all Tailed Beasts Skills... Other exemples: Minato's Spiralling Flash Super Round Dance Howl Participate Dance (almost used too), or Hashirama's Advent of a World of Flowering Trees (only referenced to him by Tsunade). Youngster? Son, back in my day... we addressed our elders with respect. Anyway, long story short, chakra mode is the same thing that Naruto and Minato do while using chakra transfer technique. By synchronizing it, they can make any chakra "fit perfectly" for anyone, as if it were their very own. Basically Naruto takes Kurama's chakra and he makes it more "Narutoish" for his chakra mode. Evidence:

  • Naruto and Minato were noted to be capable of this chakra control feat
  • both happen to have chakra modes
  • Kurama's chakra turns yellow in chakra mode, that's because Naruto's is
  • the signature of it also resembles Naruto's more as stated by C
